Sports: Halifax's Competitive Sports scene
Halifax has some great opportunities to watch somebody ELSE sweat it out, with some top-level competitive athletes.
Saint Mary's University sports The SMU's teams are all called "Huskies" . The University fields teams in the sports of
Basketball, Cross-Coungtry, Field Hockey, Men's Football, Hockey, Soccer, Track & Field,
Volleyball, Women's Rugby, which play other Universities across eastgern Canada.
games are played at the Tower on-campus, except for Men's Hockey which plays home games at the Halifax Forum.

Dalhousie University sports Dal's teams are all called "Tigers" and
play at the 180,000 sq ft DalPlex, or Memorial Arena (for hockey).
The University fields teams in the sports of
Basketball, Coss-Country, Hockey, Soccer, Swimming, Track & Field, and Volleyball
(all sports field both men's and women's teams), which play other Universities

Halifax Moosehead Hockey.
If you are a competive hockey fan, you can catch the Halifax Moosehead hockey team,
which is in the Quebec Major Junior League, competing with teams all over Quebec and the Maritimes since 1994.
