Or head south to experience the quaint seacoast fishing villages, from Peggy's Cove to Lunenburg (shown) down to Yarmouth, where you can catch a ferry to Maine..

    Take the ferry or the bridge across the harbour to visit Dartmouth. Once a separate city, now merged into the new regional municipality, it has many interesting areas and is best known for its many lakes and ponds.
